The FCC mandates carriers complete simple wireless ports within one business day, and most clear in 24-48 hours — but exact timing is up to your carrier, not us. Your existing service stays active until the moment your new number activates.

Does my carrier need to "approve" the number?

No. The FCC requires every US carrier to accept any valid number port. As long as the donor-carrier details we provide are correct, your carrier must complete the port.

How long does the port really take?

Wireless to wireless ports are mandated complete in one business day. Wireline ports can take 2–4 business days. Most of our customers report ringing in under 36 hours — but the exact timing is up to your carrier, not us.

Can I keep my old number too?

Yes. The new number ports as a separate line. Your existing line is unaffected. Most carriers let you add a second line for $5–10/month or run both lines on a dual-SIM phone.

What if I sell or change phones later?

The number lives at the carrier level, not the device. Swap phones any time. Switch carriers — the number ports again. You own it permanently.

What's not covered?

Carrier early-termination fees on your donor account (if any), monthly service after the port (you pay your carrier directly), and carriers outside the US. The number itself is yours forever, included in the one-time purchase.
